So...comment tag. I really couldn't find any particular photos about that theme, so I decided to go with the one that makes me thoughtful. Note that I am not a photographer, and have no experience in photography at all.
I understand what you mean by a "forest"-there's so much tacked to the poles they really do look like bark. Funny, since papers are technically made out of wood.
Maybe this is a personal thing, but I always wondered about those signs people put up like "Lost Pet" signs and the like. Did they ever find the animal and is the poster obsolete? Or are they merely hanging onto a sliver of hope that some kind person might send them back? Did they already move on? In that aspect, I found it interesting to think about, and I like the fact that this photo reminded me of that.
Now the art. I recognize the standard "focus on the subject, blur out the background". A tried-and-true method, and I think, an excellent one. The pops of color lighten up what could've been a rather dreary color theme-at least, I always thought grayscale photos were boring. I love photos like this-contrast is one of the things I find very aesthetically pleasing.
